The upcoming all-female space flight organized by Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin will feature notable women, including Katy Perry, Gayle King, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, and Kerianne Flynn. Scheduled for spring, the mission will take these pioneering women 62 miles above Earth. Gayle King expressed excitement about the adventure, noting Oprah's encouragement for the journey. This historic flight emphasizes empowerment and exploration as women break barriers in domains traditionally dominated by men, including outer space.
"I thought I wanted to open myself up to new adventures and step out of my comfort zone," King said on CBS, adding that, of course, she got Oprah's blessing for the trip.
Engineer Aisha Bowe, activist Amanda Nguyen, and movie producer Kerianne Flynn will also be on the flight.
They're expected to blast off this spring. The flight will go 62 miles above Earth to the edge of outer space, taking these women where Pete Davidson couldn't go.
Perry will be part of the first all-female space flight, through her friend Jeff Bezos's company Blue Origin.
