Work-from-home seems here to stay, but how does it affect women in the workforce? A new New York Times article is examining how it's allowed more women to stay in their careers while also making it harder for some to get ahead.
It definitely does offer women more flexibility to kind of juggle their careers and caregiving responsibilities, the problem is that it also makes it difficult for them to kind of get ahead and get recognized for the work they're doing.
If you're not in the office, you don't necessarily get looped into those conversations, you don't necessarily get that face time that might lead to somebody thinking about you when they're thinking about who should move up in the organization or who should get a promotion.
