Former Apple executive slated to speak in Saratoga

Denise Young, Apple's first Black chief of human resources, and the first female executive under both Steve Jobs and Tim Cook, will speak about her book "When We Are Seen" at the Montalvo Arts Center. The book, a blend of memoir and practical guide, covers her experiences in a predominately white male environment and offers insights on empowerment in professional settings. Young, who has held numerous executive roles at Apple and at Cornell Tech, shares her journey of overcoming exclusion while advocating for diversity and representation in the workplace. Keith Yamashita will moderate the event on March 27, 2023.
