Imogen Wolf celebrated her first professional victory at the Vuelta a Extremadura Femenina's third stage. Despite challenging weather conditions leading to a shortened route, Wolf triumphed in a sprint finish, outperforming notable competitors Mie Bjørndal Ottestad and Ellen van Dijk. Van Dijk, who had a strong start with a successful time trial, maintained her overall lead throughout. Ottestad's performance netted her overall second place, with Greta Marturano finishing third. Van Dijk's victory marked her comeback after motherhood, emphasizing the team's collaborative efforts during the race.
"It wasn't the easiest to control because there were lots of girls who could still win the race and I didn't have a big advantage so we had to be super sharp. The girls were going full gas and were so impressive."
"I'm super happy I could win this GC, especially to pay back all the hard work done by the girls. It was a great week here with a great atmosphere among the team."
