57% of women feel prepared to deal with AI's impact on their careers according to a LinkedIn study. However, only 19% of female workers are highly concerned about job security in light of generative AI compared to 45% of men.
While women hold 48% of entry-level positions in corporate America, their representation decreases at each subsequent level of seniority, particularly in leadership and senior executive roles where only a quarter of C-suite roles are held by women.
Progress for women in the workplace is mixed, with the number of women in the C-suite increasing but stagnation at the manager and director levels. The lack of a robust pipeline for tapping women for senior leadership roles is a concern for organizations.
