Passmoor named permanent Leicester City manager
""We are completely changing the philosophy, it will take time,""
""We are against teams who have had the same managers for two or three years. "We want to be comfortable in possession, relaxed and composed to create opportunities.""
Rick Passmoor has been confirmed as permanent head coach of Leicester City Women after serving as interim manager since early September. Leicester have four points from five Women's Super League matches and sit 10th in the table. Passmoor was appointed ahead of the 12 October fixture at Aston Villa and prioritises improving a struggling attack that has scored only three goals. He plans a philosophical overhaul to make the side comfortable in possession, relaxed and composed to create chances, and acknowledges competing against teams with longer-serving managers. Passmoor previously served as assistant manager at West Ham under Rehanne Skinner. Amandine Miquel was sacked ten days before the season after guiding Leicester to tenth last season with 20 points from 22 games, ten clear of relegated Crystal Palace.
