"It's a huge honour to take on this role. I've seen first-hand the work Andy has done over recent years to drive the women's programme at Harlequins forward and I'm excited to build on those strong foundations,"
"This is a hugely exciting opportunity, and I'm really looking forward to helping take the women's programme to the next level at such a pivotal time for the women's game."
Pat Metcalfe-Jones has been named Harlequins head of women's rugby after promotion from women's pathway manager. She succeeds Andy Rhys Jones, who was appointed Scottish Rugby's head of women's performance and pathways in October. Metcalfe-Jones will work with Harlequins head coach Ross Chisholm. The appointment is positioned as an opportunity to build on existing programme foundations and to elevate the women's programme at a pivotal moment for the women's game. Metcalfe-Jones has previously held head coaching roles at the University of Surrey and worked for Wasps and England Rugby during her career.
