Jordyn Jackson, ranked No. 8 in the 2026 ESPNW 100 class, has committed to the University of Maryland, choosing it over other schools. She believes coach Brenda Frese and the program will help her achieve her goals of winning a national championship and freshman of the year honors. Jackson, a skilled guard known for her slashing ability and strong rebounding, recently finished her club career with Team Durant. She will continue her growth at St. James Academy and is expected to make an immediate impact at Maryland, playing an aggressive up-tempo style.
"I chose Maryland because I believe coach [Brenda] Frese and the program will help me fulfill my long term and short term goals -- like winning a national championship and freshman of the year," Jackson told ESPN.
Tamika Dudley, head coach at St. James Academy, said, "Jordyn has shown tremendous growth over the past three years. She has improved her versatility, IQ and range."
