Maika Hamano has signed a contract extension with Chelsea that runs until June 2029. She joined Chelsea in January 2023 from Kobe Leonessa and had a short loan at Hammarby before becoming part of the first team. Since debuting in December 2023, she has made 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals, including one in her first full 90 minutes. Hamano helped Chelsea win the domestic treble last season, playing 30 times, scoring six goals, providing three assists, creating 21 WSL chances and making the fourth-most tackles (29, winning 19).
