Emma Raducanu begins latest search for coach after parting company with Roig
"Thank you for our time together. You have been more than a coach to me and I will cherish the many times we spent together on and off the court. While we have come to the conclusion together that we ought not to move forward, please know that I'm very grateful for all you have taught me and our time shared."
"Raducanu's inability to find a long-term coach has been a constant theme in her career since her breakthrough in the summer of 2021. She has now hired nine coaches since her fourth-round run at Wimbledon that year, with the Briton working with Nigel Sears, Andrew Richardson, Torben Beltz, Dmitry Tursunov, Sebastian Sachs, Vladimir Platenik, Nick Cavaday, Mark Petchey and Roig."
Emma Raducanu has split with Francisco Roig and will search for a new coach after her early Australian Open exit. Raducanu worked with Roig for six months. Raducanu has hired nine coaches since her breakthrough in the summer of 2021, including Nigel Sears, Andrew Richardson, Torben Beltz, Dmitry Tursunov, Sebastian Sachs, Vladimir Platenik, Nick Cavaday, Mark Petchey and Roig. Additional support has come from Jane O'Donoghue, Iain Bates and Louis Cayer. Roig previously worked with Rafael Nadal's team and coached Sloane Stephens and Matteo Berrettini. Raducanu suffered a second-round defeat to Anastasia Potapova, citing a nagging foot injury and technical changes to her forehand.
