Chelsea hit new heights with record-breaking WSL unbeaten streak - Soccer News
"After also going nine games unbeaten to start this season, the Blues have surpassed their own record of 33 games unbeaten, set between February 2019 and January 2021. That was not the only landmark hit this weekend, though, with Millie Bright also becoming the all-time appearance maker in the WSL. Here, using Opta data, we break down the six-time WSL champions' unprecedented streak."
"Though Sonia Bompastor's side were disappointed to draw 1-1 with Liverpool on Sunday, that result did ensure they have achieved the longest unbeaten streak in WSL history, going 34 games without defeat. That run began back in May 2024, when Emma Hayes was still in charge. Bompastor then took the reins after Hayes pipped Manchester City to the title in 2023-24, and another crown followed in 2024-25, without a single defeat."
Chelsea have recorded the longest unbeaten run in Women's Super League history, spanning 34 matches without defeat from May 5, 2024 through November 2025. The run includes 28 wins and six draws and was confirmed by a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. The sequence began after a 4-3 defeat to Liverpool and continued under Emma Hayes before Sonia Bompastor took charge and maintained the run, securing the 2024-25 title undefeated. The current run surpasses Chelsea's prior 33-match streak and earlier Manchester City runs. Chelsea have scored 87 goals during the run and shown improved defensive strength; Millie Bright set the WSL appearance record.
