Don't Make These Rookie Wine Collecting Mistakes
Briefly

Collecting wine should be about understanding the nature of wines, knowing which ones will benefit from aging and recognizing that most are meant to be enjoyed young.
"They become more interesting-the difference between a delicious home-cooked meal and a three star-Michelin experience, where every bite is an adventure," says Jessica Sculley.
"Not all wines are age worthy!" says Sculley. "Most wine in the world is meant to be drunk young. For aging, it's crucial a wine has balance and higher levels of acidity, tannins and alcohol content."
"When we drink a wine too soon, we're not giving it the opportunity to age into its prime," says Riedel President and CEO, Maximilian Riedel.
