In a heartfelt tribute, Leslie Sbrocco honors the incredible women in her life, particularly her nearly 90-year-old mother, Beverly Jo (BJ), who raised five children after losing her husband. BJ's resilience and positivity significantly influenced Leslie. She also reflects on her late sister Linde, remembrance intertwined with her own battle against colon cancer, and highlights her supportive sister Lauren and guiding sister Lisa. Additionally, Leslie expresses pride in her talented daughter Grace, emphasizing the close bonds they share, including a tattoo symbolizing their connection to BJ, portraying the strength of female family ties.
Recognizing and celebrating the amazing women in my life is something I try to do every day. On this Mother's Day, I want to shine a light on my closest female family members.
My mother became our world. She went back to work, raised five awesome humans, and was a friend to everyone she met. She still is! BJ has a beautiful smile.
We lost my sister, Linde, to cancer ten years ago, and many of you know I've been a colon cancer survivor and thriver for four years now.
My sister, Lauren, lives close by and is another mother to my children. Selfless and successful, she gives so much of herself to others.
