1 in 4 Americans give nation's health a failing grade
Briefly

A recent survey shows that 25% of U.S. adults rate both physical and mental health poorly. Most respondents admit to unhealthy habits, yet 78% are now prioritizing their physical health amid dissatisfaction with the healthcare system. Only 24% express satisfaction with the U.S. healthcare, and trust in pharmaceutical companies is alarmingly low, with 79% believing that the system benefits from keeping people sick. This dissatisfaction has led many to seek cleaner, healthier lifestyle alternatives, with the average American indicating a need to change 42% of their habits.
More than half of respondents (53%) believe pharmaceutical companies prioritize profits and selling medication over actually curing the disease or supporting long-term health (18%).
Nine in 10 respondents revealed that they're just as guilty, admitting that they have "bad" health habits (88%).
As a result, half of Americans from the second survey don't trust pharmaceutical companies to act in their best interest (48%).
Faced with these challenges, many Americans are looking for alternatives to traditional approaches.
