Opal is an experimental tool from Google Labs that allows the creation of AI mini apps by chaining prompts, tools, and models through natural language and visual editing. Available only in the United States since July 24, it aims to accelerate the prototyping of AI workflows and demonstrate proof of concept for custom applications. Users can build multi-step apps without coding, as Opal translates instructions into visual workflows. The beta version includes a demo gallery with starter templates for customization.
