Microsoft has released the first preview of Visual Studio version 17.9, which includes a range of improvements and features aimed at enhancing developer productivity.
One of the productivity features in this preview version is the AI-generated git commit messages. GitHub Copilot examines file modifications within a commit, provides a summary, and suggests AI-generated alterations. Developers can choose to insert the AI suggestion or discard it.
Other productivity features in this release include non-modal Debug Visualizers for easier interaction with the editor and an Instrumentation tool that introduces a start-pause option for profiling applications.
