In Washington State, a cyclist tried the new Smash Your Fitness indoor cycling service to escape inclement weather. Equipped with a Wahoo trainer and the Smashometer, a wearable device, he connected to the platform via a computer. Although setup was cumbersome without mobile app support, the experience showcased diverse workouts, including scenic rides and competitive events, while promoting accessibility for all fitness levels. The company is working on mobile app development to streamline the experience further, making it adaptable for more users.
One of the main pillars of the Smash Your Fitness experience is the accessibility and equality of the experience. No matter what your fitness level is, all cyclists have the same ability to participate.
It took me some effort to set everything up since there are no mobile apps for an iPad, smartphone, or other devices—you need a PC or Mac. However, the company is developing a version for mobile apps.
