Meta is building an AI pendant. It also plans a business subscription called Wearables for Work.
Meta’s internal memo says an AI-powered pendant will enter testing within the next year, building on Meta’s end-of-2025 acquisition of Limitless. Limitless previously created a clip-on or necklace pendant for recording and transcribing conversations. The memo also calls for expanding Meta’s AI glasses lineup and launching “Wearables for Work,” with an enterprise tier positioning hardware as productivity tools. Reality Labs lost $4 billion in Q1 2026. Meta sold over seven million Ray-Ban smart glasses in 2025 and holds about 82% of the smart glasses market.
