The Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland ruled that Yoko Ono is the rightful owner of a Patek Philippe watch she gifted to John Lennon for his 40th birthday.
The watch, which was stolen by Ono’s driver and passed through various owners, was returned to Ono after it resurfaced at a Geneva auction house.
Ono had the watch engraved with a personal message, marking it as a significant keepsake, especially since it was the last gift she gave Lennon before his death.
In 2018, the collector sought to claim ownership of the watch, but the Swiss courts upheld Ono's claim, confirming the watch was listed in Lennon's estate.
