humane AI pin shuts down and discontinues all its call, text and smart conversation features
Briefly

Less than two years after its launch, the Humane AI Pin, a hands-free device intended as a smartphone replacement, is shutting down its operations as of February 28th, 2025. Users must back up their data beforehand, or it will be lost. Additionally, the company has sold its AI-powered platform and IP to HP, which will integrate the Humane team into HP's technology branch to develop their AI capabilities further. The device itself used innovative projection technology but ultimately failed to gain sustainable traction in the market.
In a company note, the team says that every Humane AI Pin will officially stop working or operating starting February 28th, 2025.
Humane sells its AI-powered platform Cosmos and intellectual property with more than 300 patents and patent applications to HP.
