The Augmented Reality Home Assessment Tool (ARHAT) is an innovative app developed by university researchers to aid seniors in aging in place. It offers personalized evaluations of living spaces by having users identify limitations like visual impairment or mobility issues, and assess various home areas. By using LiDAR technology, the app provides visual feedback on accessibility barriers and offers recommendations for renovations. This tool is part of the broader Home Is Where We Age project, funded by the Tommy G. Thompson Center and UW-Madison Graduate School, ensuring seniors can live safely and comfortably in their homes.
