Wizards will start training camp without Daniel Gafford and Landry Shamet
Briefly

Washington Wizards center Daniel Gafford sprained his left elbow and guard Landry Shamet fractured his left big toe during voluntary pickup games this past week, the team announced Sunday night. Both are expected to miss two to four weeks.
Gafford's injury may be more immediately impactful; he's a rotation player who started 47 games last year. The 25-year-old center averaged 9.0 points and 5.6 rebounds playing in a two-center lineup alongside Kristaps Porzingis for much of last season. With Porzingis now on the Boston Celtics, Gafford's injury leaves the team thin in the frontcourt - recently acquired Mike Muscala is the team's only other option at center.
