HBO has officially announced the casting for its upcoming Harry Potter TV series, aiming to provide a more detailed and faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling's seven-book saga. John Lithgow will portray Albus Dumbledore, while Paapa Essiedu takes on Severus Snape, Janet McTeer will play Minerva McGonagall, and Nick Frost will be Rubeus Hagrid.
