Following a close 91-90 loss to the Atlanta Dream, White emphasized the need for the Fever to adapt to the physical play they will face throughout the season. The Dream, featuring new veteran talent like Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones, showcase the competitive challenges the Fever must overcome as they prepare for their next encounter in Atlanta.
"We didn't handle their physicality. That's going to be the M.O. against us all year long," White said. "Teams are going to be physical. That's how I'd play us."
The Dream added two veteran post players in free agency, both of whom played well Tuesday. Brittney Griner had 21 points and 8 rebounds, and Brionna Jones 19 and 13.
