The final AP Top 25 poll before Selection Sunday featured significant movement in the rankings. Duke, Arizona, and Michigan maintained their positions as the top three teams in the country. Florida made a notable jump to No. 4, with Houston following at No. 5. UConn dropped to No. 6 after a road loss to Marquette. Illinois and Virginia entered the top 10 alongside Iowa State and Michigan State. St. John's experienced the largest rise with a five-spot jump, while Texas Tech fell the furthest with a six-spot drop. Wisconsin and Louisville entered the rankings as Saint Louis and Miami exited. Seven teams remained unchanged from the previous poll.
