Zambia drop 4 NWSL stars, cite US travel rules
Briefly

The Zambia women's national football team has opted to exclude four U.S.-based players from their squad for the Yongchuan International Tournament in China, due to concerns regarding newly implemented U.S. travel measures. FAZ general secretary Reuben Kamanga confirmed that the decision is in the players' best interest, allowing them to skip the tournament while remaining available for future matches, including those against Malawi. The team is set to open this tournament against Thailand on Saturday, continuing to prepare for international competition despite these setbacks.
After working through the process instigated by recently introduced measures it was decided that it is in the best interest of our players to skip this assignment.
The four NWSL players will stay back in the United States, Kamanga confirmed.
They will definitely be available for future assignments as they were for the last window when we played Malawi.
