He noted that recent policies have transformed travel into a distressing experience for many, citing examples of travelers being detained. Due to these policies, international traveler confidence has decreased, leading to a projected 9.4% decline in arrivals and an anticipated $9 billion drop in U.S. tourism spending this year.
This has turned ordinary travel into a needlessly grueling ordeal for tourists, business travelers, lawful permanent residents and U.S. citizens.
