The Commanders' cornerback position has seen notable enhancements leading into the 2025 training camp, marking a shift from past failures. Last season, starting outside corners Benjamin St-Juste and Emmanuel Forbes struggled, compelling adjustments that included trading for Marshon Lattimore and moving Mike Sainristil outside. Sainristil performed better but was most effective in the slot. This offseason, Adam Peters prioritized transforming the cornerback unit, acquiring veteran Jonathan Jones for added versatility and depth alongside existing players.
