Heading to Shenandoah? Don't miss this 59-year-old comfort food restaurant, which-as the name might suggest-is famous for its apple butter cinnamon doughnuts. You can stock up on apple butter, cider, and more Virginia-made products in the gift shop as well.
The local doughnut joint will offer apple cider doughnuts with apple cake batter, apple glaze, and cinnamon sugar dusting at all four of its DC-area locations as a special on September 16 and October 16. Among the many other fall flavor specials: caramel apple, spiced old fashioned, and brown butter doughnuts.
