President Trump condemned a deadly shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum that resulted in the death of two Israeli Embassy staffers. The shooting occurred after an event hosted by the American Jewish Committee. Trump called the act 'based obviously on antisemitism,' emphasizing that hatred and radicalism have no place in America. The gunman, identified as Elias Rodriguez, was apprehended at the scene. Friends and colleagues mourned the victims, who were expected to get engaged in Israel soon. This tragic incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding anti-Semitic violence in the U.S.
These horrible DC killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA.
Prior to the shooting, the suspect was observed pacing back and forth outside the museum... He approached a group of four people, produced a hand gun and opened fire.
We are devastated that two cherished friends and partners from the Israeli embassy were shot and killed as they left an American Jewish Committee (AJC) event.
The fatal victims, identified as boyfriend and girlfriend, were expected to get engaged in Israel next week.
