The Dearborn Inn in Michigan, known as one of the first airport hotels in the United States, has reopened after a two-year renovation. Built by Henry Ford in 1931, the hotel is located across from the now-closed Ford Airport and retains many of Ford’s original design elements. General Manager Joleisha Bradley emphasizes the hotel's aim to inspire guests with its rich history and connection to notable figures the hotel once hosted, combining modern comforts with a living museum experience throughout the property.
"From the moment guests step through our doors, we want them to feel inspired by the history that surrounds them and by the trailblazers who once walked these halls."
"The hotel is both a welcoming retreat and living museum, with historic artifacts woven throughout the property."
