Hendrix Lapierre impresses with three-point night in 2025 preseason debut: 'Hopefully he can just build off that'
""There's no one that wants it more than [Lapierre] and he's so determined and so focused,""
""You're happy to see him have some success in the first step of the preseason and hopefully he can just build off that.""
""I want to make this team really bad,""
""I know what I can do, I know what I can accomplish, I just have to put it on display.""
Hendrix Lapierre recorded a goal and two assists in 16:43 of ice time, finishing plus-four with one hit, one blocked shot, and two shots on goal in a 5-2 preseason win over Boston. He scored in the first period on a Beauvillier setup, assisted on goals by Sonny Milano and Ryan Chesley, and was the only player to score in the practice shootout. His aggressive backchecking and board work limited Boston’s chances. He took a puck to the face and left for repairs. After making last season’s opening roster, he was sent to AHL Hershey, where he posted 32 points in 32 games and earned 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs MVP, and he now aims to redeem himself and earn a full-time NHL spot.
