Sonny Milano's return to ice practice after an upper-body injury marks a small but encouraging step in his recovery, though he still has a long way to go.
Head coach Spencer Carbery noted, "A long way to go for him to get back into the lineup, but good to see him at least out on the ice."
Milano has been out for 28 games since November 6, significantly impacting the Capitals' lineup and his own season development after a rough training camp.
After struggling in October, Milano has been on long-term injured reserve, but he is eligible to return from LTIR once he's fit to play.
