Ryan Leonard has signed with the Capitals. Now, Spencer Carbery needs to determine who comes out of the team's lineup for him.
Briefly

The Washington Capitals signed top prospect Ryan Leonard to a three-year entry-level contract, complicating head coach Spencer Carbery's lineup decisions. The team has maintained a consistent forward group, but with Leonard's entry, a forward must be removed. The most plausible swap is Taylor Raddysh, whose limited goal-scoring may open the door for a more dynamic player like Leonard. Raddysh’s role currently lacks the impactful scoring the Capitals need, especially on the power play, where they have struggled lately.
Leonard's primary asset is his goal-scoring ability, and Raddysh has just seven goals this season.
Carbery could also choose to sit Beauvillier and reunite Raddysh with Duhaime and Nic Dowd on the team's fourth line.
The Capitals have been running relatively the same four forward lines since acquiring Anthony Beauvillier from the Pittsburgh Penguins at the trade deadline.
Leonard could provide a much more dangerous option in that spot for the Caps with his quick release and super hard shot.
