Nicklas Backstrom, TJ Oshie, and Karl Alzner attend first Capitals practice back from 4 Nations Face-Off break

During a recent practice session at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, the Washington Capitals welcomed three special guests: injured players Nicklas Backstrom and TJ Oshie, and former Capital Karl Alzner. Backstrom, who has been sidelined since October 2023 due to a hip issue, interacted with teammate Nic Dowd while Oshie, who is also dealing with injuries, was seen chatting with players before departing. Both players plan to join the team for the unveiling of a Stanley Cup championship plaque, highlighting their significance to the franchise.

Nicklas Backstrom, who has not played since October 29, 2023, due to a chronic hip issue, was seen at practice chatting with Nic Dowd.

TJ Oshie, alongside former Capital Karl Alzner, attended the Capitals' practice session, where he interacted with current players before leaving.
