The Panthers return to Washington after a 9-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes and a celebration of their 2025 Stanley Cup championship with President Trump. The Capitals will be without Tom Wilson for a seventh straight game and Justin Sourdif, while Ivan Miroshnichenko is recalled from Hershey and will play. Logan Thompson is scheduled to start and will oppose Danill Tarasov.
