Goaltending brilliance fuels yet another comeback win: Capitals beat Canadiens 4-2
Briefly

Masterclass of a second period from the Canadiens. The Capitals could not get out of their own zone for a good eight-minute stretch in the period as Montreal's forecheck was set up perfectly and their defensemen made good contact on seemingly every single pinch up the boards. Washington needed to be perfect with their passing and they sure weren't.
I wasn't too upset with the first period despite the 2-0 deficit. Montreal got oodles of puck luck and the Capitals got none. I think you'd want to see Logan Thompson stop both goals. I'm still confused about how Cole Caufield got credited with that second one. Am I the only one who sees it blatantly go off Newhook?
