"Ahead of a pregame ceremony honoring him for scoring 900 goals and playing in 1,500 games, Alex Ovechkin was joined - adorably might I add - by his two sons, Sergei and Ilya, for warmups before Wednesday's game against the Winnipeg Jets. The two Ovi Juniors, wearing matching black Screaming Eagle jerseys, Dynamo Moscow socks, and yellow skate laces, took the ice with about two minutes remaining. They took some shots on Logan Thompson - and occasionally scored on the Caps starter."
"Sergei, a seven-year-old hockey prodigy, even brought out some of his slick stick-handling moves for the crowd. Naturally, dad took a photo with his mini mes to remember the moment forever. But Ovechkin's sons did more than give Caps fans a glimpse - if everything goes right - of the team's future in the 2040s. Sergei and Ilya greeted Capitals players in the locker room before the game, giving them fist bumps. They were also in the tunnel to properly learn how to get limber with the pros, and most importantly, how to make loud noises. I'm sure they'll remember this night forever. Your dad is so cool."
