Per NHL PR, that's the new NHL record as Ovechkin passed Gordie Howe, who scored in 348 home games he appeared in. The goals also marked Ovechkin's 447th and 448th career home goals, which place him third all-time. He trails only Wayne Gretzky (492) and Howe (449)."
