Alex Ovechkin attended the Russian Cup Superfinal at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow with his wife Nastya and sons Sergei and Ilya. He was joined by former Capitals teammate Dmitry Orlov and fellow Russian NHLer Mikhail Sergachev. Before the match, Ovechkin presented a charity check for 8 million rubles to the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation and played soccer with his kids on the field. Ovechkin also met Orlov earlier to shop with Orlov’s friend Gus. Spartak and Krasnodar finished 1-1, with Pablo Solari scoring for Spartak and Douglas Augusto scoring for Krasnodar. Spartak won the penalty shootout 4-for-4, and earned a spot to play Zenit Saint Petersburg in the 2026 Russian Super Cup.
