The architects designed a villa in Karuizawa, situated on the sloping terrain of Mt. Happu, catering to four families. The villa features a lightweight structure that minimally impacts the site and comprises nine interconnected sections with a roof that slopes elegantly. The first floor consists of communal areas with glass walls providing a view of the natural surroundings, while the second floor includes private rooms arranged for privacy. The design emphasizes harmony with nature, fostering activities for multigenerational family gatherings.
The architecture is designed to float lightly above the ground, ensuring minimal site impact while embracing the natural landscape of Mt. Happu.
