The game follows the returning hero from every Ys game, Adol, as he teams with a new female protagonist, Karja, and meets a nomadic tribe of sailors called the Normans.
NIS has unveiled a brief announcement trailer for Ys X's Western version, which confirmed the Fall 2024 release window. The video highlights the game's traversal, naval combat, and shows off a a few of Adol and Karja's moves in combat.
