During its Developer Direct stream, Xbox announced Ninja Gaiden 4, set for a fall release and co-developed by Team Ninja and Platinum Games, featuring classic protagonist Ryu Hayabusa alongside new character Yakumo. This collaboration aims to maintain the series' iconic challenge and combat style. Additionally, to excite fans, Team Ninja revealed a remake of Ninja Gaiden 2, now titled Ninja Gaiden 2: Black, available via Game Pass, which modernizes the visuals significantly using Unreal Engine 5 and introduces three new playable characters.
The new game will be co-developed by Team Ninja and Bayonetta creators Platinum Games, featuring protagonist Ryu Hayabusa and new character Yakumo, promising unique movesets.
With Ninja Gaiden 4, 'We are staying true to the challenge and deep action that defines the Ninja Gaiden series,' game director Yuji Nakao emphasized.
Ninja Gaiden 2: Black, a remake of the original game, is available now on Game Pass, modernizing the classic with Unreal Engine 5 and adding new characters.
