Leaked information from the FCC has revealed details about Project Keenan, an upcoming Xbox PC gaming handheld designed by Microsoft in partnership with Asus. The device, reminiscent of the Asus Rog Ally, features a design that looks stylish but maintains ergonomic challenges. It plans to offer an Xbox user interface on top of Windows, allowing for a more familiar gaming experience. Key visual differences include color variations and the inclusion of an Xbox button, emphasizing a seamless blend between Xbox gaming and Windows.
But the real draw of Project Keenan, if it works out, will be what's going on at the software level. Prior reports... suggest the device will offer an Xbox level interface on top of the Windows OS, making for a much more familiar user-friendly experience outside of gaming.
Photos of the devices surfaced online via Videocardz, showing a white Asus gaming handheld that is presumably the Ally Rog 2, and a black version with a dedicated Xbox button.
