CD Projekt Red has confirmed it is concentrating on Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2, rather than updating The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Filip Downar, a gameplay technical design expert, emphasized excitement about launching Cyberpunk 2077 on the new console, especially with its exclusive features. While The Witcher 3 remains backward compatible with Switch 2, no enhancements are planned. Previous next-gen updates have been made for other platforms, but this time, the focus shifts solely to Cyberpunk as a launch title for the upcoming system.
When we learned about Nintendo's new console, Cyberpunk 2077 came to mind first. It's incredibly exciting to be a launch title for this new hardware.
The Witcher 3 will be playable on Switch 2 thanks to backwards compatibility, and it's possible the game could see a performance boost on Switch 2 without any sort of upgrade.
