Despite the demo being dismissed by Guerilla Games as not reflecting active development, Burch fears it poses a threat to the integrity of game performance art. She highlighted the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike around AI rights, advocating for voice actors' consent before AI replication and fair compensation, emphasizing the importance of preserving the art form within the gaming industry.
"I feel worried about this art form - game performance as an art form," Burch said in the video, which she also shared on her Instagram.
Burch reiterated that voice actors like herself are currently on strike, largely because of the AI tech evidenced here.
What we're fighting for is that you have to get our consent before you make an AI version of us in any form."
