Throne and Liberty peaked at around 56,000 players during early access, but reached over 326,377 on launch day, making it the fourth most-played game on Steam.
Despite impressive launch numbers, Throne and Liberty's performance pales compared to Amazon's earlier MMOs, New World and Lost Ark, which saw over 900,000 and 1.3 million concurrent players, respectively.
Server issues were reported during the initial launch hours, prompting NCSOFT to quickly set up new servers and address login queues, character creation, and missing characters for early players.
The game's adjustments for Western markets included reduced prices for the battle pass and leveling pass, which aim to better align with player expectations in those regions.
