Nintendo has officially announced the successor to the Nintendo Switch and it's called the Nintendo Switch 2, marking a long-awaited reveal for fans.
The reveal trailer was rather understated, depicting the existing Nintendo Switch evolving, but left many wondering about the actual improvements of the new machine.
The new console will work with original Switch titles, both digital and physical, but some games may not be fully compatible, raising concerns for players.
The only game shown running on the new console was a new Mario Kart, creating excitement given the enduring popularity of Mario Kart 8.
