Katsuhiro Harada expressed enthusiasm for a crossover between Tekken and the gritty version of Pac-Man from Amazon's Secret Level, envisioning it as a good fit atmosphere-wise, particularly with the upcoming Shadow Labyrinth.
Harada reminisced about a past attempt to introduce Pac-Man as a guest character in Tekken, recalling that the original creator, Iwatani-san, was displeased with the design choices and scolded him for it.
Despite previous challenges, with Iwatani sanctioning the new project, Harada feels there’s an opportunity to finally integrate Pac-Man into Tekken, especially now that the character has appeared in other fighting games.
With newer adaptations like Shadow Labyrinth creating a more humanoid Pac-Man, Harada sees potential for this crossover, given that both Super Smash Bros. and Street Fighter approached the character in unique and innovative manners.
