It's an action-adventure game in the vein of The Legend of Zelda, with top-down sections and side-scrolling sections to give you both flavors of 8-bit entries in that franchise.
Despite that, the game is still rather fun. The exploration is enjoyable, and it's satisfying when you get new abilities.
